AeroExpo Day 1

Today the airfield was transformed, parked aircraft and marquees everywhere, and the hangars turned into exhibition halls.

Whenever we emerged blinking from our hangar we saw a sky full of cumulus, and we could see the activity at Haddenham at Thame on Spot the Glider, so plainly the rest of the club was having a good time. But still, we had a very successful day with lots of visitors to our display of gliders showing the range of design from the prototype Kite built in 1935 to the ASW28E built in 2014. We met old friends, talked to power pilots finally seeing the light and considering gliding.......we even made a sale.

More of the same tomorrow......
